lyrics

Wretched and Sullen
This path you follow

Roaming for weeks
Searching for the souls of servitude
A familiar stench of flesh
Corrodes his nose And in disgust he scouts his way

Seeking its source
He finds a tower Bearing the sigil Of those who seized his land
Within its gates are those Living under the tyranny
Of a vile regime That eradicates All who oppose

Undeterred
He appears in the captain’s quarters
“Choke on your tongue.”
He commands and the captain Begins to suffocate

He then proceeds to disembowel the corpse

With blood and marrow excavated from this life
He collects the ingredients of which he needs
To curse his foes
And end his people’s strife
Etched in red he draws the symbol of oppression

An impaled offering from organs freshly plucked
He burns away with calloused flames
Illuminated by the fire
Sacrificed And torn asunder
Swiftly souls within the region
Wearing the armor of imperial legion
Drop dead or were left with afflictions
Seemingly without reason

The people congregate within the courtyard
Baffled by the
Sickness and decay
Spread throughout the entire countryside

A stoic stature
Emerges with a severed head in hand
Throws it at their feet
Then begins to speak

“These very tyrants are the reason
We are refugees
They orphaned me and made me
Flee the place I was conceived.”

While he addressed his people
A surviving soldier fled with haste And with visions of death
He arrived at the empires gates

And just like before
They initiate with overwhelming force
Only this time
Their land was protected by enchantments

As crows collect overhead
They cast a shade upon the battlefield And sporadically fly down and pluck
Out the eyes of the soldiers That fight for the enemy

Black magic, His preferred and most favorite Choice of weaponry
Filleting his foes with short bursts of quotes
Known to carry the reapers tongue

He calls to arms His recently liberated lot Of ravenous men
Now knights in the service Of their one true ruler
They charge into battle With no fear of death

With every enemy Lying dead before his feet
He begins to Raise the blade of necromance
And all the corpse in unison
Reanimate and bow before
The one who brought them back to serve

He repeats this process
As his armies march To see out his will
Until they finally reach Their destination
To bring forth the decimation
Of this empire and everything it represents

His undead carve through the flesh of the
Sentry’s that stand in defense of the fortress
As his loyal mortals follow him
To decapitate the serpent in the throne room

At their arrival
There’s a scene of a false king Slumped in his soil

“Remove this filth at once.”
He commands as he takes his seat Upon the throne

He speaks an incantation
Summoning the four lords
Demanding their display
Of their allegiance to his word

A telepathic tongue
Intrudes the minds Of all who breathe
Entranced and completely
Convinced to worship their new king
And through the years to come
He cultivates his lands
Into a nation far beyond the dreams of man

With so much cosmic influence
His reigns been absolute Until his later years
He had forgotten the sound of The winters breath

And now it has begun

"They call me Veles.”
The one who has come here to execute the creator
And all of his disciples
“I am the urge you are compelled to address.”
“I come from the nothingness that will eventually end All of existence.”
Frozen in motion the king then said
“Through my own ashes I will rise again."
